    Embedded Team Leader

    Human Xtensions is a rapidly growing startup, developing breakthrough technology in the field of robotic Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Team Leader to lead a team of embedded SW & HW engineers that is reshaping MIS.

    The HX Embedded Team is responsible for developing all levels of the products, from HW and board design to firmware and software. This team leads the architecture and implementation of the most advanced elements, in compliance with global medical standards, and for a highly complex interdisciplinary surgical solution.

    As team leader you will lead a team of embedded SW & HW engineers to develop our next generation products. You will be responsible for managing the team, leading the company’s SLCP and designing the software architecture and applications.     • Join the R&D management team, plan and execute a future technology roadmap.
    • HW & SW innovation & development efforts – Own the development of features from design to development, Unit testing, and production deployment.
    • Responsible for products’ SLCP (medical regulation).
    • Responsible for SW & HW project work plans, monitoring and progress tracking.
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
    • Define SW&HW documentation (SRS, HLD, LLD, etc.) SW architecture, project scope and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility.
    • Mentoring the team and review the work of the engineers to meet the projects goals and timeline.
    • Failure analysis of all SW & HW related tasks during all R&D and production phases.

    Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
    • 3+ years of experience as an embedded team leader.
    • 7+ years of experience with embedded development.
    • Experienced with SW design life cycle and methods including flow charts, UML sequence diagrams, state machines etc.
    • Experienced with architecting embedded systems.
    • Proficient with RTOS (such as freeRTOS, RTX) and C language for embedded systems.
    • Experienced with reading HW schematics, layout and understanding HW to SW interfaces.
    • Experienced with HW and SW debugging tools such as scopes, logic analyzer, loggers, debuggers, SW registers and assembly code.
    • Experience with electro-mechanical systems or robotics – Sensors, BLDC Motors, Motor Control, UI, etc. – an advantage.
    • Comfortable with building presentations and presenting to managers.
    • Personal characteristics: Team player, highly motivated, delivers on time, willing to work in a dynamic environment and a quick learner.
