    Procurement Manager

    HumanTouch Surgical is seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to lead and manage all company procurement activities across production, engineering, R&D, and operational needs.

    This is a key leadership role within the Operations function, responsible for building, structuring, and driving procurement excellence across the organization. The role combines strategic supplier management with strong hands-on execution and full ownership of material availability, inventory planning, and procurement risk management.

    The Procurement Manager will ensure cost efficiency, supply continuity, timely delivery of materials, and alignment with operational and business objectives, while working in close partnership with the Head of Operations & Supply Chain.

    Key Responsibilities

    Procurement Leadership & Ownership

    • Lead and manage all company procurement activities (direct & indirect materials).
    • Take full ownership of material availability to support uninterrupted production and development activities.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company growth and operational plans.

    Supplier & Risk Management

    • Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, evaluation, and onboarding (local and global).
    • Conduct commercial negotiations and manage long-term agreements.
    • Establish supplier KPIs including On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, cost, and responsiveness.
    • Proactively manage procurement risks including lead-time variability, single-source dependencies, supply disruptions, and cost volatility.
    • Develop mitigation plans including alternative sourcing and safety stock strategies.
    • Lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Procurement for R&D & Development Projects

    • Manage sourcing activities for new product development (NPI) projects.
    • Support Engineering and R&D with supplier selection, cost analysis, and prototype procurement.
    • Ensure timely material availability for development milestones and pilot builds.
    • Align procurement processes with evolving technical and regulatory requirements.

    Inventory Planning & Material Control

    • Lead and manage procurement planning aligned with production forecasts and demand planning.
    • If required, establish and structure inventory planning processes.
    • Define safety stock levels and reorder policies.
    • Balance inventory optimization with service level targets and supply continuity.
    • Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory.

    Operational Execution (Hands-On)

    • Monitor open purchase orders and supplier commitments.
    • Expedite deliveries when required and resolve supply disruptions.
    • Ensure accurate and effective use of ERP (Priority – strong advantage).
    • Maintain data integrity for pricing, suppliers, and purchasing records.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of proven procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading procurement activities and supplier management.
    • Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
    • Experience working with international suppliers.
    • Proven experience ensuring on-time material delivery and managing supply risks.
    • Experience in inventory planning and material control.
    • ERP experience (Priority preferred).
    • Experience in a medical device company – a strong advantage (not mandatory).
    • Strong analytical mindset and high level of accountability.
    • Fluent in Hebrew & English.
